Today the Journey continued towards the north of Texas. Leading on from San Antonio, we headed to Austin for our city drive through. After having sometime to drive the truck Ben has commented on it, he really enjoys driving it. We noticed on the Crysler that the cruise control wasn’t especially great as it would let you speed when going downhill. Apparently the brakes on the Crysler were also not that good (probably been abused as a rental car) and I am glad to hear that the truck is much better in this regard. We are having much fun travelling around in our new home!

Whilst in the area we decided to drive over to the the F1 circuit, aptly named The Circuit of the Americas. Ben had hoped to at least have the chance to drive past the circuit, yet we managed to drive quite far into it, unfortunately when we got to the manned gate we were told that the tours only run on weekends! We seem to have a habit of arriving slightly too early for things! However Ben was pleased to even get near the track!

The temperature has noticeably increased today, whilst this morning was reasonable, little did we know that it would heat up rather astonishingly! I mean Crikey! It reached a scorching 34c (94f), this broke records we were told by locals! We were glad for once that the drive meant that we mainly stayed in the cool air conditioned car and we’re not outside for long.

The elusive search for boots continued today and we stopped at a couple of different shops, Today turned out to be the day! I found them! 😀 wohoo! So here they are:
