Yesterday’s packing stretched long into the night before we both collapsed on the bed and decided to watch the F1 that we’d missed to wind down. Today was going to be an extremely busy day. We were both feeling hopeful and looking forward to spending the day in the city. We felt quite sad whilst packing up but didn’t want to take that emotion all around the city with us, we wanted to soak up our last day in as much wonder as we’d began the trip with. Off we went into the city and embarking on a bus tour, we thought this would be a fitting end to the trip, especially since we’d started our adventure on a bus tour around New York back on Day One.
It was a short 30 minute drive before we arrived in the city of Boston. It was great to see large buildings once again, queuing up for our bus tour we wasn’t really sure what we might see here we were both a little quiet partly due to tiredness and in order to conserve energy, insanely we have a flight to catch this evening. There was some sadness in knowing that it’s our last day in this amazing country.
We were driven around seeing various sights, it was hard to take it all in when contemplating going home but it was enjoyable none the less and we even got off and had a wander around did some shopping and grabbed something to eat. We visit boarded the last bus of the day anxious about how long it would take to get back to our drop off point the driver was exceedingly helpful taking shortcuts and getting us back to the car in time.
It was now time for us to return the Ram! So off we went to Alamo, who seemingly didn’t keep their agreement with us on the price as we had to pay an extra $200 for no apparent reason, certainly not one that anyone could explain to us so they will be hearing from us when we get back! And off we went through the airport fuss! Boarding the plane was odd, full of English people the accent really stood out to and was almost shocking, after hearing nothing but the American accent for four months. We were really going home now! We celebrated our achievements with a few bottles of champagne before attempting to rest some! See you in the morning UK!
