With a whirlwind few days left we set off this morning towards Rhode Island, which requires a drive through Massachusetts, technically making Conneticut our last state. At this point we’ve decided not to count this state as visited until we go to Boston, this will also be where we fly out off on our journey back to the UK.

It’s been a while since we’ve been to a smaller state, and we are glad in a way that the drives have gotten a bit shorter, there were points in the middle that we didn’t know if we’d ever make it to this side. It’s Memorial day weekend here, so we’ve had some trouble with finding places to stay as they seemingly get booked up rather quickly. Despite some rain yesterday evening it’s remained quite high in temperature here.

I don’t want it to sound bad when we say this but we couldn’t actually find much to do in Rhode Island. I’m sure there are plenty of great things so it’s probably us at this point, it’s a very pretty state and after driving from a place named woonsocket (yup I spelt that correctly) we headed down through the main city Providence and headed into Conneticut.
