Today’s journey saw us head away from Kentucky towards Indianapolis, it’s now time for us to head north, and eventually to the north east portion of the country. It’s a rainy day seeing temperatures of only around 10c (50f), it seems anything with Louis in the name provides us with showers and heading through Louisville, Kentucky was no exception. We didn’t mind too much seen as we were having another of our driving days, just got to hope that the weather holds for tomorrows activity! Kentucky has thus far proved to be very green, the density of the trees is incredible, it sort of reminds me of jungle terrain!

We managed to make the necessary adjustments to our flights and more importantly the car, we will now be flying back from Boston rather than New Jersey and on the 1st June instead of tomorrow! This did however come at a hefty addition to our budget, costing approximately an extra £1600, not including the additional accommodation and food costs that we’ll have to add on. The majority of the extra expense is down to the car, I had managed to get us a brilliant deal prior to coming out here, but seemingly adding the extra two weeks on was too much for Alamo and turned out to be expensive. There’s nothing we can really do about it, stopping and emptying and changing the car at this point would be quite a hassle! So the only thing we can do is grin and bear it and carry on with the adventure! Despite this obviously not making our day, we have some great things planned, there’s lots to be positive about, now to get rid of these rain clouds! 😉
